Equue cf caballus
Horse hoof bone (ungual phalanx). The hoof is very small and so must be from a colt or young adult. One side of the bone shows a circular hole where the bone has been depressed inwards. This can only be the result of a bite from a carnivore. The size of the puncture would suggest the canine tooth of a wolf. Really nice example. and super rare.
Pleistocene, Devensian.

Hoof : 5 x 4.7 cm.
