XENACANTHUS SHARK COPROLITE - PERMIAN, CZECH REPUBLIC.
COPROLITE - Xenacanthus sp.
Xenacanthus was the apex predator in the Permian seas. These sharks grew to a length of several metres and had multiple cusped pointed teeth. The coprolite shows fish scales and bones under magnification. Fantastic example.
Lower Permian, Autunian.
