Iguanodon sp. indet.
Worn down tooth from an Ornithopod Dinosaur. The biting surface is very clear and obvious. These Dinosaurs ate tough vegetation and the teeth would have had to be constantly replaced throughout life as they wore down. Really nice example.
Early Cretaceous, Valanginian, Wealden Series, Ashdown Formation, Cliff End Bone Bed.
Pett Level, Hastings, East Sussex.
Tooth : 1.8 cm wide.
