Perledius madagascariensis Lehman

Split sandstone nodule. On the inside is the rear half of a fish. The scales on Peredius are sculptured along the bottom edge. This feature is well shown under magnification. Really good preservation.

Lower Triassic.
Ambilobe, Madagascar.
