Beetle - probalby a ground beetle of the Family: Carabidae.

Complete beetle on a small square of green siltstone. Shows head with both eyes, segmented body and both wing cases. Most likely a Carabidae but it could just be from the Superfamily: Tenebrionoidea which is also recorded from these deposits. Nice example. 

Eocene, Green River Formation, Parachute creek Member. 
Ray Dome locality, near Douglass Pass, Rio Blanco County, Colorado, USA.

Beetle : 0.9 cm long.
