Thursius macrolepidotus (Traquair1888,Saxon, 1978)
Complete fish in rectangular slab of grey flagstone. Nice detail under magnification. This fish is restricted to a fe localities along the north Caithness coast round Thurso. From the collection of the late J. Hearty of Glasgow and collected back in the early 1980's.
Devonian, Givetian, Upper Caithness Flagstone Group.
Sandside, west of Thurso, Caithness, Scotland.
