Termites and flies
Long thin 'stringer' of copal (Fossil tree resin). Contains at least 50 beautifully preserved complete insects. The vast majority are termites with several small flies. This Madagascan copal has been dated anything from several thousand years up to one million.
Pleistocene / Holocene.
Sambava, Cap D'Ambre, Madagascar.
Specimen : 10.3 cm. long.
