Osteolepis macrolepidotus (Agassiz, 1835)
Osteolepis was a type of fish known as a Crossopterygian. These fish had well developed fin ray bones and were ancestral to the very first Amphibians. Beautifully preserved fish in dorsal view with the pectoral dins flung out to the side. The lower right jaw is fully exposed showing a row of sharp pointed teeth. Fine example.
