'STACKED' REGULAR ECHINOIDS - JURASSIC, FRANCE.

Hemicidaris luciensis

Two complete regular Echinoids which have come to rest one on top of the other. Both show broken off spines still attached. This would suggest some sort of storm surge which swept the Echinoids along the sea where they came to lie in this position. Very unusual.

Jurassic, Bathonian.
