Knife blade shaped piece of copal with at least 60 insect inclusions Most are ants, termites and flies. Copal is the resin of the copal tree, Protium copal. The copal deposits from Madagascar are sub fossil and range in age from several thousand up to one million years.

Pleistocene / Holocene.
Sambava district, Cap D'Ambre, Madagascar.
