Marine reptile rib
Matrix free rib from a marine reptile. Probably Plesiosaur / Pliosaur although it might be from a big Ichthyosaur. Teeth of both of these reptiles are recorded from the Faringdon Sponge gravels. The pit at Wicklesham no longer works the fossil rich gravels.
Jurassic, Kimmeridge Clay, Re-worked in to the overlying Cretaceous, Aptian, Faringdon Sponge gravels.
