Perfect lower back leg bone (metatarsal) from an adult deer. The size of the bone is consistent with a medium sized deer. The most likely species would have been Reindeer. The fact that both wolf and Cave Lion remains have come from the same cave as this bone might suggest it was brought into the cave by a predator. There is no sign of gnawing or bite marks on the bone so it could have washed in. The bone is in immaculate condition.
