Siroccopteryx moroccensis (Mader & Keller 1999)

The distal end of a long wing bone from a Pterosaur. Mostly matrix free. Repaired across one end of the shaft. This is a type of large Pterosaur known as an Anhangurid. There is another species called Coloborhynchus moroccensis now recorded from this locality.

Cretaceous, Albian / Cenomanian, Tegana Formation.
Hamada gu Guir, Kem Kem basin, south of Taouz, Morocco.

Bone : 6.2 cm. long.
