Plesiosaurid indet.

Caudal vertebra from a Plesiosaurid of some description. This specimen has come originally from the Kimmeridge Clay and has been re-worked in to the overlying cretaceous (Albian) Faringdon Sponge gravels. The overall shape is that of a Plesiosaur but Pliosaur tail vertebra are so similar it is impossible to tell.
