Plesiosaurus sp. indet.
A beach nodule off the Yorkshire coast. On the outside at least three bones of a Plesiosaur are clearly shown. The pebble has been cut in half and both halves have been polished to dhow up the detail of the bones in cross section. At least one of the bones is a vertebra. Four different Plesiosaurs are recorded from the Yorkshire coast. Rhomalaeosaurus is the biggest. Hauffiosaurus is medium sized and Microcleidus is the smallest. Stenarosaurus is still a doubtful genus. Yorkshire Plesiosaur remains are uncommon finds.
