PATHOLOGICAL CHONDROCERAS - JURASSIC, DORSET.
Chondroceras gervillii (J.Sowerby).
Fine 3D matrix free specimen. Developed to the center both sides.The shell is slightly quadrate rather than rounded and there is a flattened area with a double groove on the outer whorl. This is some sort of pathology. Unusual.
Jurassic, Bajocian, Romani Zone.
