Quercus hannibali.

Small piece of cream colored siltstone. On one surface is an Oak leaf. In several areas there is evidence of insect predation. Neat little example.

Pliocene, Middlegate Formation.
2 miles east of Middlegate, Nevada, U.S.A.

Leaf : 3.2 cm. long.
