Ceratiocaris stygia (Salter)
Three pod shrimps on dark grey shale. Beautiful preservation and fine detail under magnification. Two are complete and the third is missing the head shied. From the collection of the late John Hearty of Glasgow and collected by John way back in the early 1980's. All the classic sites on the Lesmahagow inlier have long been designated SSSI with all collecting prohibited. Impossible to obtain specimens like this anymore. couple of neat repairs but overall top quality worthy of any Museum.
