Protoschonetes luloviensis Muir Wood, Salopina lunata (Sowerby), Microsphaeridiorhynchus nucula (Sowerby)

Hand sized slab of brown siltstone. Both surfaces absolutely plastered in well preserved internal casts of small Brachiopods. In amongst them is a tiny fragment of the shell of the worm, Serpulites longissimus Murchison. A lovely example of the famous Whitecliff Beds from Ludlow.

Upper Silurian, Upper Ludlow Series, Whitecliffian Stage.
Whitecliff, Ludlow, Shropshire.
