Lytoceras cornucopia (Young & Bird, 1822)
Matrix free specimen. Developed to the centre on one side. Three quarters of the way around the outer whorl there is a linear depressed area where the shell is crushed inwards. This can only be as a result of a bite from a predator. Most likely a marine reptile but could be from a shark or a large fish. From a famous old locality
