Equus cf. ferus Boddaert.

Complete radius bone from the lower front leg of an Ice Age Horse with base of ulna still attached. All face intact and in excellent condition. Pleistocene horse systematics is rather complicated. There are a number of species put forward including the robust 'caballine' group.

Pleistocene, Devensian.
Dredged from the Brown Bank, North Sea off Lowestoft.

Bone : 34 cm. long.
