Equus cf. ferus Boddaert

The second phalange from the base of a horse's leg. It is this bone that articulates directly with the hoof bone. Some weathering but overall good.

Pleistocene, Devensian.
Dredged from the Brown Bank, North Sea off Lowestoft.

Bone : 5 x 5.5 x 3 cm.
