Pliosaur sp. indet.
Vertebra from a large predatory marine reptile. Some nice detail under magnification. Very heavily mineralised. Several species of Pliosaur are recorded from the British Kimmeridge Clay. Not possible to identify this to species level from a weathered isolated vertebra like this.
