GERONTIC CAVE BEAR - PART OF THE MAXILLA BONE WITH WORN DOWN TEETH - PLEISTOCENE, ROMANIA.

Ursus spelaeus Rosenmuller & Heinroth 1784.

Part of the right side of the skull from a very old Cave Bear. The teeth are almost totally worn down flat. This would have drastically reduced it's ability to masticate it's food properly. Superb example.
