Coralline Limestone with Echinoderms, Forams, Bivalve and crustacean fragments.
Interesting old specimen. A 'sample' from a firm of stonemasons from Wallsend, Northumberland. Dates to 1957.
This would have been a decorative stone probably for interiors. It shows cross sections through various fossils. The removal of fossils from Malta has long been prohibited so this makes for a historical 'curio'.
