Conulus albogalerus (Leske)
Flint internal cast of an Echinoid. These fossils along with the similar looking Echinocorys were known in folklore as 'Shepard's Crowns. They were thought to ward off evil spirits and were often built into thresholds or windowsills in houses and churches.
Cretaceous, Upper Chalk.
