Equus sp.
Lovely vertebra from an ice age horse with the neural spine still attached. Excellent preservation and detail. The taxonomy of late Pleistocene horses is somewhat complex. Some are included in the caballine group (Equus caballus Linné) whilst others with the modern horse (Equus ferus Boddaert). Quality specimen.
