Amphoracrinus gigas (Wright)
Beautifully preserved complete crinoid calyx from the famous old locality of Salthill quarry, Clitheroe. This was collected way back in the late 1960s by myself as a schoolboy. The site is now a geological nature trail. Nice detail of the plates under magnification.
Lower Carboniferous, Viséan.
