Hybodontid shark indet.
Top end of the fin spine from a Hybodontid (Port Jackson) shark. Matrix free. Could be from one of several species of Hybodus or even from a species of Palidiplospinax . Not common.
Jurassic, Lower Sinemurian.
Church Cliff Bay, Lyme Regis, Dorset.
Spine : 12 cm long.
