Bird indet.

Small downy feather on greenish siltstone. Feathers are extremely delicate structures and as such it is rare for the to get preserved in the fossil record.  The Parachute Creek Member of the Green River Formation was a near shore lake deposit laid down in quiet conditions with a lot of insects,plants and occasional bird remains. Not common and much sought after by collectors.
