Balteurypterus remiceps tetragonopthalmus Fischer with Pasternakevia podolica Seldon & Drygant 1987.

Palm sized piece of grey siltstone. One surface is a complete articulated Eurypterid preserved ventral (or belly) side up. Shows the head with some of the feeding and walking legs attached, the segmented body and the tail spine or telson. Lying off to the left of the Eurypterid is an incomplete articulated Xiphosauran arthropod consisting of the left side of the head shield and five articulated segments. Pasternakevia podolica was first described in 1987 and from a single known specimen. It is an exceptionally rare species.

River Smotrych, Bolshoe Zalesc village,Kamieniec Podolski, Khmelnytskyi region, Ukraine.

Eurypterid : 5.3cm. long
Xiphosaurian : 1.5cm. long.
