Ecrinosomus dixoni (Woodward)
Complete diamond shaped deep bodied fish in a nodule. These were probably slow swimming coral nibblers. Fine preservation. Really excellent detail of the bones, sculptured scales, fins and tail under magnification.
Early Triassic, Dienerian, Middle Sakemena Formation. Bed 5.
Bororoha, Madagascar.
Fish : 13 cm long.
