Edmontosaurus sp. indet.

Single tooth from the dental battery of a Hadrosaur. These large herbivorous Dinosaurs needed constantly replaceable teeth to cope with eating tough vegetation. Two species of Edmontosaurus are recorded from the Lance Creek Formation of Wyoming - E. regalis Lambe 1920 &  E. annectens (Marsh, 1892).

Upper Cretaceous, Maastrichtian, Lance Creek Formation.
NIobrara County, eastern Wyoming, USA.

Tooth :  1 cm. tall.
