EDMONTOSAURUS JAW FRAGMENT - CRETACEOUS, WYOMING, U.S.A.
Edmontosaurus sp.
Small piece of matrix free bone. Part of the maxilla or upper jaw of a Hadrosaur. Shows four distinct grooves where the teeth would have been. Two species of Edmontosaurus are recorded from the Lance Creek Formation of Wyoming - E. regalis Lambe,1917 and E. annectens (Marsh, 1892).
Upper Cretaceous, Maastrichtian, Lance Creek formation.
Weston County, Wyoming, U.S.A.
