Otodus ( Megaselachus) megalodon

White matrix free 'Meg' tooth. These teeth were first discovered in 1985 dredged from a depth of between 350 to 650 metres off New Caledonia. The enamel is damaged on one side of the blade. The serrations are just about discernible. Decent size.

Pliocene Period.
350 - 650 metres depth off New Caledonia, Australasia.

Tooth : 9 cm. high.
