Dorycrinus missouriensis (Shumard).

A pair of isolated tegmen spines from the calyx of a crinoid. These crinoids had a six long protective spines arranged around the top of the calyx. This is a very unusual feature .

Carboniferous, Mississippian, Burlington Formation.
Springfield, Missouri, U.S.A.

Spines : 2.3 cm. long.
