Dacentrurus armatus Owen 1875.
Dacentrurus was a Stegosaur. It is known from England, France and Portugal. Found over 10 years ago when the channel was being dredged from Weymouth harbour. This activity has ceased since then due to European legislation. Like all the dredged bones it shows a degree of weathering. It is however pretty much complete . Nice detail of the exceptionally large typical Dinosaur bone cells on on face. Dinosaur remains were never that common from the Smallmouth Sands
Jurassic, KImmeridgian, Smallmouth Sands.
