Dinosaur - indet.
Matrix free Dinosaur vertebra broken in half length ways. On the exposed surface you can clearly make out the typical huge bone cell structure so typical of Dinosaurs in general. From the shape and size of the vertebra this is most likely to have come from one of two herbivorous Dinosaurs; The Stegosauid Dacentrurus armatus (Owen, 1875) or the Ornithopod, Cumnoria prestwichii (Hulke, 1880) both of which are recorded from this locality.
Jurassic, Kimmeridge Clay.
