Dacosaurus maximus ( Plieninger ).

Very fine tooth from a Kimmeridgian crocodile. Dacosaurus teeth have a very characteristic carinae along either edge. Teeth of this size and quality could only be collected decades ago when the pit was still working the right gravels.

Jurassic, Kimmeridge Clay. Re-worked into the overlying Cretaceous Sponge Gravels.
Wicklesham Pit, Faringdon, Oxfordshire
