Crocodylus porosus Schneider 1801.
Heavily mineralised fossilised vertebra from a saltwater crocodile. Some matrix still adhering in parts. On the undersurface of the centrum a rather primitive face has been carved into the bone. This I presume to be done in recent times rather than in antiquity. May reflect some indigenous religious belief or just done for the tourist trade
Definitely unusual.
Plio /Pleistocene.
