Goniopholis willeti sp. nov.

Large crocodile tooth on sandstone matrix. The tooth is crushed but most of the external enamel is still there on one side showing vertical ridges. This Crocodile was dubbed the' Gavial of Tilgate Forest .by Richard Owen when first discovered. Impressive.

Cretaceous, Valanginian, Hastings Group, Grinstead Clay Formation, Cuckfield Stone.
Cuckfield, West Sussex.
