COLLECTION OF LIASSIC CRINOIDS FROM DORSET AND GLOUCESTERSHIRE.
Crinoids are well known from the Lower Jurassic. Such classic localities as Charmouth in Dorset and Hock Cliff and Blockley in Gloucestershire have produced some beautiful well preserved crinoid material.. A/ Pentacrinites fossilis (Blumenbach). Arms and pinnules. 5.5 x 5.5 x 0.4 cm. B/ Pentacrinites fossilis (Blumenbach) Arms and pinnules.. 5.4 cm. long. C/ Isocrinus psilonoti Quenstedt 1858. Part stem and isolated columnals. matrix ; 7.5 x 7.5 x 1.5 cm. D/ Isocrinus psilonoti Quenstedt 1858. Dissarticulated sections of stem. Specimen : 5 x 4.5 x 1.5 cm. E/ Pentacrinites cf. basaltiformis Miller. Three stem sections. Two at 3cm and one at 2.5 cm. long.
