Clypeus plotti ( Salter)
Perfect complete 3D test. Lovely preservation and detail. The entire upper surface has been colonised by marine worm tubes. The worms need a hard surface to cement to on the sea bed and so may have taken advantage of a dead sea urchin. With so many worms on the surface it would have inhibited the Echinoid's feeding capacity, if still alive. Easily the finest example I have seen in over 40 years.
Jurassic, Upper Bajocian.
