Tylocidaris baltica.

Club shaped spine from a regular Echinoid on chalk matrix. Towards the apex on one side is a perfectly circular hole. This is the result of predation probably by a Gastropod. Lovely example and very unusual on a spine like this.

Cretaceous, Upper Maastrichtian.
Stevns Klint, Denmark.

Spine : 3 cm. long.
