Stensiopelta pustulata Janvier 1985
Stensiopelta was a primitive jawless fish known as an Agnathan. Like all the Cephalaspids they were characterised by an armoured headshield covered in small plates ( tesserae ) with large eyes close together in the centre of the headshield. This specimen shows the eyes and the tesserae.
Lower Devonian, Pragian, Dneister Formation, Ustechko or Khmelva Member.
