Perfect complete matrix free cave bear vertebra from the famous bone caves at Mixnitz, Austria. On one of the outer surfaces of the centrum is a circular pitted area. This is evidence of some sort of pathology or bone disease. Only 'old time' collected specimens are available from Mixnitz these days as the site has protected status.  An absolute 'beauty' of a specimen.
