Glossopteris browniana
Massive slab of pale orange siltstone. Both surfaces covered in well preserved lanceolate shaped leaves from a Glossopteris tree. Glossopteris forests were widespread all over the southern continent of Gondwanaland. Their fossil remains are now found in Antarctica, Australia, South America, South Africa and southern India. Single neat repair across top of slab. Excellent impressive display piece.
