Tapirus veroensis Sellards 1918.
Perfect complete metapodial bone from the foot of a n adult Tapir. On the inner surface of the distal end there is a ragged hole in the bone. Almost certainly the result of predation by a large cat such as a Jaguar.or Cougar. Lovely example.
