Balteurypterus remiceps tetragonopthalmus (Fischer 1839)
Very small juvenile Eurypterid on matrix. Fully articulated showing head with both eyes all the body segments and the first part of the pointed telson. These fossils are right in the war zone at present and so examples are particularly difficult to obtain.
Silurian, Upper Wenlock Series, Ustya Formation.
River Smotrich, Bolshoe Zalesc Village, Kamieniec Podolski, Khmelnitskaya district, Ukraine.
Eurypterid : 2.5 cm long.
