Asteroceras obtusum (Sowerby)
Base cut free standing matrix. Towards the top is a beautifully preserved 3D Ammonite. Developed to the centre. The body chamber is open and is infilled with drusy crystals of dog tooth calcite. Very attractive.
Jurassic, Upper Sinemurian, Obtusum Zone.
Black Ven,Charmouth / Lyme Regis, Dorset.
